Claviatura is one of the main devices for the use of computers, and when it ceases to function normally, this may cause serious problems. If you have Mac's computer and the numbers on the keyboard have stopped working, you don't have to panic. In this article, we'll tell you a few ways to fix this unpleasant phenomenon.

First, we need to check if the Num Lock key is blocked on your keyboard. Some of the machines have a separate key to activate and deactivate this function. If it is included, the pressure on the numeric keyboards will be taken as a letter.

If the problem is not with the blocking of the Num Lock, it may be about software for your computer. In this case, try rebooting the system and check if the numbers are working on the keyboard after that. If the problem remains, you might need to update the MacOS operating system. Normally, such updates contain corrections of errors and improved compatibility with different devices, including the keyboard.

If, after all these actions, the keyboard numbers are still not operational, a technical malfunction of the keyboard may be possible. In this case, you should contact the Apple Service Centre or the specialist to remove the fracture and restore the functionality of the keyboard.

Check the connection between the keyboard and the computer.

Try to disconnect and reconnect the keyboard to make sure it's securely attached. Another port of USB can also be used on a computer to prevent the possibility of a particular port problem.

If you use wireless keyboard, make sure it's on and has a proper connection to the computer. See if you have complete batteries or adequate food for wireless keyboard.

If, after checking the connection, the problem with the numbers on the keyboard still remains, it may be necessary to contact a specialist or contact the Apple service centre.

Reload the computer and the keyboard.

The rebooting of computers and keyboards can help restore normal digital keys. To this end, take the following steps:

  1. Close all the programs and keep your work.
  2. Press the Apple menu in the upper left corner of the screen and select the reloading point.
  3. Wait until the computer is completely off and switched on again.
  4. If you have an external keyboard, disconnect it from the computer and wait a few seconds.
  5. Connect the keyboard back and make sure it's properly connected.
  6. See if the numbers are working on the keyboard now.

If the problem is not solved after reloading, try other methods from our article to correct the malfunction with the numbers on Mac's keyboard.

Check the system configurations.

If Mac's keyboard doesn't have digital buttons, the first thing we need to check the designs of the system. The function of " Inclusion of the Exposure Regime " or " Claviasure to Mouse " was perhaps accidental. These functions may be useful for users with limited capacity, but they may lead to the elimination of the number button.

In order to verify the design of the keyboards, open the system and select the Claviatura. Move to the " Clavice Links " and make sure that the functions of " Entering the Exposure regime " and " Clavice to Mouse " are deactivated. If they're on, turn them off and try to press the digital buttons on the keyboard again.

If the problem has not been resolved after verification and deactivation of these functions, the reason may be that of other structures of the keyboard or conflict with other programs. In this case, it is recommended to seek assistance from a specialist or contact the Apple Support Service.
